As President and sole member of Future Old Farts of American (FOFA), I must emphasize the adjective “future.” President Roosevelt, alas, died a few years before I made my appearance in these parts, and I never had the pleasure of basking in the warmth of his fireside chats.

I am a little distressed, however, that you apparently feel that Sir Winston did not save western civilization from the forces of evil. In my view, it was his major accomplishment. (Under current Progressive semiotics, I cannot assume that you were referring to President Obama in your comment, as making this assumption would be tantamount to calling you a racist, which would make me a race-baiter, and I would not do that to either of us.)
